Catherine Burns

Catherine Burns has extensive experience in higher education and human resources, currently serving in multiple roles at Michigan Technological University since August 2009, including Assistant to the Vice President for Community Engagement and Assistant to the Vice President for Diversity & Inclusion. Additional positions at the university include Manager of Staff Employment, Employment Services Specialist, Labor Relations Specialist, and Assistant to the Director of Human Resources, as well as Rental Coordinator/House Manager/Hospitality Coordinator at the Rozsa Center. Prior experience includes working as a Claims Adjuster at Cherokee Insurance Company from February 2005 to March 2006. Catherine holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management earned from Michigan Technological University between 2013 and 2015, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration obtained from the same institution from 1999 to 2003.
