Gordon Parker

Gordon Parker is the John and Cathi Drake Endowed Professor and John and Cathi Drake Chair Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University, where expertise encompasses teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students while leading research projects in controls and mechatronics, with current applications in micro grids, naval logistics systems, and diesel engine after treatment. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories, focusing on dynamic systems and control research, and as an Engineer at General Dynamics Space Systems, where responsibilities involved trajectory and performance analysis for Atlas/Centaur missions. Gordon Parker earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
