Jeff Naber

Jeff Naber serves as the Center Director at the Advanced Power Systems Research Center since August 2004 and holds the title of Ronald E. and Elaine Starr Professor of Energy Systems in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University. With a strong focus on research and education in renewable energy, fuels, internal combustion engines, and advanced vehicles, Naber has extensive experience in the field. Previous roles include Group Manager and Group Leader at Motorola from 1995 to 2004, and a postdoctoral position at Sandia National Laboratories, where involvement in combustion research was significant. Naber began his career as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, contributing to drop and spray studies related to diesel injection. Additionally, Naber served as a Sergeant in the US Army, gaining experience in intelligence. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
