Josh Olson

Josh Olson has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Josh started their career as a Computer Helpdesk Assistant at Northern Michigan University in 2003. Josh then worked as a Lead Developer and System Administrator at Viosport Inc. from 2004 to 2005. Josh joined Michigan Technological University in 2005, where they held several positions including System Administrator, Senior Programmer/Analyst, Deputy Chief Technology Officer, and Interim Director of the Van Pelt and Opie Library. Josh served as the Chief Information Officer at Michigan Technological University from 2014 onwards, leading a team focused on technology services and support for students, faculty, and staff. In their role, they implemented various initiatives such as a cloud-first approach for deploying services, and the selection and implementation of an identity and access management platform.
