Steve Watson

Steve Watson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the restaurant and food service industry. Currently serving as the Senior Business Development Manager at MTY Food Group since November 2019, Steve focuses on brand protection and enhancing market sales performance within the franchise community for the Mr SUB division. Previously, at Cara Operations (now Recipe Unlimited Corporation) from 2013 to 2018, Steve held the position of Regional Operations Manager, prioritizing brand protection and profitability for stakeholders. From 1999 to 2013, Steve worked at Prime Restaurants Inc., initially as Area Manager, advocating for cultural transformation through training and support, and later as Corporate General Manager for East Side Mario's, driving brand testing and maintaining strong sales growth. Earlier experience includes a role as Restaurant Manager at Darden from 1992 to 1999, where Steve directed a robust Culinary program across multiple locations. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University.
