Shaun Jones

Shaun Jones is an experienced professional in the water quality and public health sectors, currently serving as the Head of Water Regulations and Compliance at mua Group since August 2023, and holding various roles within the Standing Committee of Analysts, including Trustee, Treasurer, and Chairperson of the Microbiology Working Group. With a strong background in regulatory compliance, Shaun previously worked as the Head of Regulatory Compliance at Albion Water and as Public Health and Compliance Manager at Wessex Water. Shaun's expertise encompasses drinking water law, safety planning, and microbiology, including teaching Cryptosporidium microscopy at Strathclyde University. Shaun's career includes significant roles at the Drinking Water Inspectorate, Scottish Water, and Severn Trent Laboratories, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Wolverhampton. Additionally, Shaun has served as a landlord and co-founder of a public house.
