Ruben Ramalho

Ruben Ramalho is an accomplished finance and investment professional specializing in infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Currently serving as Senior Principal for Infrastructure Investments at Mubadala since June 2020, Ruben previously held the position of Investment Manager for Renewables, Power, Utilities, and Energy Infrastructure at Brookfield Asset Management from January 2015 to June 2020. This role involved M&A origination and asset management within Europe and included leadership of global investments in Battery Storage and Electric Vehicles. Earlier experiences include serving as a Commercial and Corporate Finance Advisor at the Department of Energy and Climate Change and as a Strategy and Business Development Manager at ENGIE. Ruben holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD (ABD) in Sustainable Energy Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MSc in Economics with a major in Finance from ISCTE Business School.
