Emily S.

Emily S. is an experienced instructional designer currently working at Mud Bay since June 2023. Prior positions include serving as a Human Resources Specialist at Pacific Lutheran University, where responsibilities involved coordinating professional development opportunities and managing the Learning Management System. Emily has also held roles as Lead Naturalist - Education at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, where day-to-day operations of the education department were overseen, and as a Naturalist - Education for Scott County, Iowa, focusing on environmental interpretation and program development. Earlier experience includes teaching positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, both as a Visiting Teaching Associate and Graduate Teaching Assistant, as well as an Educator at Niabi Zoo, responsible for educational programs and supervising volunteers. Emily holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Education and an Instructional Design Certificate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with an Anthropology minor.
