Nuria Mestres Martinez has a diverse range of work experience. Nuria started their career as a Graphic Designer at Chilli Design in 2002 and later worked as a Graphic Designer - Web Designer at EGGEASSOCIATS from 2003 to 2006. Nuria then joined Escofet 1886 as an In-house Graphic Designer, where they were responsible for designing and producing printed materials, managing projects, and liaising with suppliers. In 2008, they took a sabbatical period to travel to Australia and New Zealand, where they worked as a volunteer on environmental projects. Returning to work in 2008, Nuria worked as a Freelance Graphic - Web Designer. In 2010, they took maternity leave and remained home until 2013. In the same year, they started their own business called Chompa Handmade, importing ethically-made ropes and yarns. As a small business owner, they managed social media platforms and handled customer inquiries. In 2018, they began working as a Graphic Designer for local small businesses, focusing on e-commerce platforms. Since 2021, Nuria has been a UX/UI Designer at Mudbath and Academy Xi, where they have worked on various projects to improve user experience and conversion rates for e-commerce websites and mobile apps.

Nuria Mestres Martinez has a diverse education history in the field of design. In 1996, they graduated from BAU, Centre Universitari d'Arts i Disseny with a degree in Graphic Design. Later, in 1999, they pursued a postgraduate program in Multimedia Design from the same institution. Nuria further enhanced their skills by completing a postgraduate program in Editorial Design at BAU in 2004-2005.

In 2021, Nuria attended Academy Xi to focus on UX/UI Design. Nuria also attended Awwwards.academy in 2022 to gain expertise in creating a design system from scratch using Figma.

Alongside their formal education, Nuria has obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills. Nuria completed courses such as "Accessibility for Web Design," "Agile Foundations," and "UX Foundations: Accessibility" from LinkedIn in November 2022. Additionally, they obtained the "UX UI Transform" certification from Academy Xi.
