Nanwei Chen

Nanwei Chen, PE, is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers since November 2015, bringing extensive experience in managing multi-million capital projects from a previous role as Project Engineer at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. This role involved finalizing project scopes, creating drawings with AutoCAD/ArcGIS, and developing solutions for flooding issues in South East Queens. Prior to this, Nanwei Chen served as an Engineering Aide at the Aviation Planning Department of the Port Authority of NY & NJ, where responsibilities included reviewing runway improvement studies and analyzing weather data for project feasibility. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
