Bharath Somashekar

Bharath Somashekar is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and data integration. Currently serving as Vice President of Software Engineering at MUFG since April 2017, Bharath is responsible for building and managing engineering teams focused on innovative technology solutions within the Credit Risk function. Previously, Bharath held roles as Assistant Vice President in both Technology Product Management and DataWarehouse Technology Lead at MUFG, where responsibilities included product vision, strategy, and leading data integration projects. Prior experience includes roles at The Bank Of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Ltd. as an Analyst and Senior Specialist in DataWarehouse applications, and as a Systems Engineer at Infosys. Bharath holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
