Gene Melendez

Gene Melendez serves as the Head of Business Information Security, Awareness & Analytics at MUFG since April 2022. Previously, Gene held roles including Consultant, CISO | Executive Advisor at EVOTEK and Business Information Security Officer at Cognizant, where responsibilities included leading information security for digital business services. In earlier positions, Gene contributed as a Consultant in the Office of the Chief Security Officer at ADP and in the Security Consulting Practice at Contender Solutions. As the Chief Information Security Officer at Syniverse from October 2015 to October 2018, Gene was instrumental in transforming the global information security vision and strategy for a network supporting billions of devices. Gene's career in global information security began at PwC, where services were provided from July 1998 to October 2015. Gene is an alumnus of DeVry University.
