Jean Monson

Jean Monson is a seasoned project finance and ESG finance professional currently serving as the Head of Infrastructure and Director of Project Finance at MUFG since January 2019, specializing in power and infrastructure projects across the APAC region. In addition to this role, Jean Monson is the Chairperson of the IPFA Asia Branch and a member of the IPFA Asia Branch Council, focusing on representing and connecting organizations involved in infrastructure and energy financing. Jean Monson also contributes to the GFANZ Net-Zero Banking Alliance Working Group for Power, Oil, and Gas under the UNEP FI. Previous experience includes serving as a Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, and as an Associate and Trainee Solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Jean Monson holds advanced legal degrees from the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and the University of Bristol, including a Masters in Law and a Bachelor of Laws.
