Ruth Connolly is currently serving as the Principal Clinical Psychology Manager at Muiriosa Foundation Ltd since November 2001. Prior to this role, Ruth worked as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital from 2000 to 2001. Ruth also held the position of Basic Grade Clinical Psychologist at Muiriosa Foundation Ltd from 1996 to 2000. Ruth holds a Postgraduate Professional Certificate in Neurodiversity from University College Dublin, a Diploma in Professional Psychology from The Psychological Society of Ireland, a Master's of Science in Applied Psychology from Ulster University, and a B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Galway.
Muiríosa Foundation
Muíriosa Foundation supports individuals (and their families) with an intellectual disability and/or autism to live self-directed, connected and fulfilling lives. Currently we employ over 1,100 staff and operate across nine counties – Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Longford, Kildare, Tipperary, Kilkenny and Wicklow. Our headquarters are at Moore Abbey, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. Currently our services are divided into five regions, each led by a Regional Director. The regions exercise a high level of devolved autonomy across all major operational functions. Muiríosa Foundation provide services on behalf of the Health Service Executive (HSE). HSE are our principal funders. The services linked to HSE funding are set out in an annual service-level agreement.
