Gerardo Gornes has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. Gerardo began their career as an Intern at Asociación Mexicana de Instituciones de Seguros (AMIS), where they worked on automation algorithms for information processing, developed a Visual Basic Application for a small database software, and conducted a research study about Public Health in Latin America. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal as a Risk Analyst of Commercial Credit Risk, where they processed and analyzed data of public trust funded Mortgage-backed Securities for housing development, used Statistical and predictive models tools to ensure that minimum capital requirements are met, and utilized visualization tools and algorithms for business analysis. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at General de Seguros as an Insurance Underwriter Manager, where they set a Data Base environment with the historic record information of all clients, worked with SQL data algorithms to identify trends within claim payments, and conducted Risk Analysis for pricing new and renewal insurance policies. From 2021 to 2022, they held the role of Associate Software Engineer at VGW. Currently, Gerardo Gornes is working as a Full Stack Engineer at Multiburó and a Python Developer at CORUS Consulting.
Gerardo Gornes has an extensive education history. Gerardo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in 2005-2010. Gerardo then completed a Diploma in Computer Systems from Centro de Computación del Golfo in 2002-2003. In 2019-2021, they obtained a Computer Programming Diploma from North Metropolitan TAFE. Most recently, they completed a Machine Learning Course from Coursera - Stanford University in 2020-2021.
