Luis Marin has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Luis started their career as a Senior Associate at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting in 1994 before moving on to become the Chief Operating Officer at Grupo Financiero Uno in 1998. At GFU, they managed the credit card business in Central America, Peru, and Mexico, leading the company to become the largest credit card issuer in Central America before the business was sold to Citi in 2007.

After the acquisition, Luis joined Citi and served as the COO of Credit Cards for Central America, overseeing the integration of Citi's credit card business with Grupo Financiero Uno and Cuscatlan. Luis then took on the role of Credit Card Head for Central America and the Andean Region, standardizing products and processes across nine countries. Later, as the Consumer and Commercial Banking Head for Central America and the Caribbean, Luis managed over $2B in assets, approximately 1 million clients, and more than 6,000 employees across six countries. Luis executed strategic shifts to focus on profitable client segments and reduce expenses.

In 2016, Luis joined Banco Ficohsa as the Consumer Banking Head, responsible for credit card, retail banking, private banking, and remittance business lines. With Ficohsa being the largest consumer bank in Honduras and having operations in three other Central American countries, Luis played a crucial role in overseeing and growing the business. Finally, Luis joined MultiMoney in 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer.

Luis Marin's education history begins in 1984 when they obtained their High School Diploma from the American School Foundation. Luis went on to attend Alfred University from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, Luis Marin enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration between 1992 and 1994.
