Leonard Mwenda

Leonard Mwenda has over 16 years of work experience in various audit roles. Leonard is currently employed as the Global Head of Audit at Multiplex since April 2023. Before that, they worked at Brookfield Asset Management, where they held multiple positions including Vice President and Head of Audit | Europe, Director and Global Audit Lead | Renewable Energy, and Senior Manager, Internal Audit | Infrastructure and Private Equity. Prior to that, they worked at Chevron as a Corporate Auditor | Asia Pacific and at Newmont Mining Corporation as an Audit Supervisor | Asia Pacific. Leonard started their career at KPMG as an Assistant Manager in the Risk Advisory department.

Leonard Mwenda holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Western Australia, which was completed from 2015 to 2017. Leonard also obtained a Master of Accounting degree from Curtin University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. Leonard's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Business degree in Finance and Economics from Edith Cowan University, completed from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, they have certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. and as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
