Fred Parietti

Fred Parietti is the Co-Founder and CEO at Multiply Labs. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at MIT and then as a Staff Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University.

Fred’s work focuses on developing the first wearable robot to augment a human user with a pair of extra limbs. Fred has supervised research activities for 9 undergraduate students (including 3 theses) and is a co-author of 16 peer-reviewed international scientific publications, with more than 400 citations.

Fred Parietti started their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Fred then pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same school before becoming an exchange student at ETH Zürich. After returning from their exchange, they obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
