John Sterbis

John Sterbis is an experienced operations professional with a robust background in facility management and hospitality. Since July 2018, John has served as the Senior Director of Operations and Facilities Director at Multnomah Athletic Club. Prior to this, John held key positions at Oregon Zoo from January 2014 to July 2018, including Facilities Manager and Food and Beverage Manager. John started the career at ARAMARK, where roles included Senior District Manager, District Manager, and Food Service Director from January 2001 to November 2013. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from Iowa State University and both a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from South Dakota State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Iowa State University.
