Jenny Smith

Jenny Smith currently serves as the Chief of Staff for Chair Jessica Vega Pederson at Multnomah County since February 2024. Previously, Jenny held the role of Chief of Staff and Communications Director at Oregon Youth Authority from August 2021 to January 2024, and served as the Strategic Communications Director at the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries from December 2019 to July 2021. Jenny's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at the Oregon Education Association where responsibilities encompassed directing communications and executing political programs that led to major initiatives in public education funding. Additionally, Jenny contributed to the success of voter registration and mobilization efforts through roles at Our Oregon and Defend Oregon, culminating in the registration of over 111,000 new voters in 2012. Educational credentials include a degree from Portland State University and previous studies at Pitzer College.
