Oren Kandel

Oren Kandel has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Oren is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Munch, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, starting in November 2020, they worked as an Entrepreneur, where they focused on idea generation, research, and validation.

Before their entrepreneurial stint, Oren had a significant career at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel. From January 2018 to October 2020, they served as the CTO-Innovation, co-founding and leading an internal innovation program. During this time, they implemented a strategic plan for technology enhancement and startup engagement, including initiatives like an early-stage startup acceleration program, a scouting arm, and an internal entrepreneurship program. Their efforts resulted in numerous spin-outs and new tech projects.

Earlier in their career, Oren worked at Microsoft, where they had multiple roles. From February 2011 to September 2013, they were the CTO and Solutions Team Unit Manager. Oren also served as the MCS Professional Development & Resource Manager from July 2008 to March 2011 and worked as a Software Architect from May 2004 to July 2008.

Oren's work experience also includes a role as a Senior Consultant at Advantech from January 2002 to May 2004 and a Group Manager position at the Israel Defense Forces from February 1996 to August 2001.

Throughout their career, Oren has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on innovation and technology, as evidenced by their various initiatives and accomplishments.
