Shannon Tipton

Shannon Tipton has a strong background in public relations and communications. Shannon began their career as a Marketing and PR Manager for Kimbrough Army Hospital, where they developed and executed communication plans for a large military and civilian beneficiary population. Shannon then moved on to Naval Hospital, Patuxent River, MD, where they served as an Integrated Communications Manager, leading staff training and serving as a spokesperson during a period of significant change. Shannon then joined SAIC as a Senior Communications Consultant, designing communication strategies for various organizations, including the United States Air Force Public Affairs Office and the Central Intelligence Agency. Shannon further honed their skills as a Public Relations Manager at Winstead PC, leading firm-wide PR and marketing initiatives. Currently, they are the Public Relations Director at Munck Wilson Mandala LLP, where they are responsible for integrating communications, business development, and PR strategies for individual attorneys and practice groups. Throughout their career, Shannon has demonstrated a strong ability to design PR campaigns, coach individuals on media relations, and monitor industry trends.

Shannon Tipton received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Maryland. Shannon attended the university from 1982 to 1986. Later on, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 1996 to 1998.
