Andy Hughes

Andy Hughes is a senior capital management actuary currently contracted with Munich Re since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a technical specialist at the Bank of England and various positions as an insurance analyst at firms such as Macquarie Group, Exane, ICAP, and JP Morgan. Significant contributions were made during time at S&P as an associate director of insurance ratings, focusing on credit ratings for insurers. Previous roles at Munich Re included a financial solutions actuary, specializing in capital raising and M&A financing for UK insurers. Andy Hughes is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, having completed actuarial training from 1993 to 2003, and holds a first-class degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
