Dr. Satya Patnaikuni is a highly experienced professional in the field of catastrophe risk modeling and underwriting, currently serving as a Property Treaty Underwriter and Nat Cat Expert at Munich Re since January 2019. With a solid foundation established through previous roles at SCOR as Cat Risk Pricing Analyst and Flood Modeler, and at Swiss Re as Assistant Vice President focusing on flood modeling, Dr. Patnaikuni has developed expertise in natural catastrophe pricing, model evaluation, and portfolio management across the Asia Pacific region. An accomplished academic with a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, alongside a strong background in geo-informatics and civil engineering, Dr. Patnaikuni contributes significantly to the advancement of flood risk assessment and management practices in the insurance industry.
