Roman Gromotka

Roman Gromotka has extensive experience in the insurance and engineering sectors, currently serving as Underwriting Manager for facultative Engineering at Munich Re since April 2007. In this role, responsibilities encompass managing underwriting for global clients across the USA, UK, Canada, and Bermuda, focusing on construction and erection businesses. Prior positions at Munich Re included Senior Underwriter and underwriting roles specializing in Decennial and Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI). Previously, Roman held engineering and managerial positions at Swiss Re and UHDE GmbH., and conducted research at Northwestern University. Academic qualifications include a Dipl. Ing in Civil Engineering from Technical University of Munich, a Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund, and additional civil engineering degrees from ESTP and Traunstein.
