Steve Zhang

Steve Zhang has extensive experience in the insurance and actuarial sectors, currently serving as the CEO of Life & Health Greater China and CEO of Hong Kong at Munich Re since January 2003, where responsibilities include overall management of the life and health business across China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Zhang previously held several leadership positions within Munich Re, including Managing Director roles for both Life & Health and Life Greater China. Prior to this, Zhang worked at Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Manager in actuarial and insurance consulting, and at AXA Equitable as an Assistant Actuary focusing on annuity pricing. Zhang's earlier career includes roles at ING Investment Products and American Express Financial Advisors. Academic credentials include an EMBA from China Europe International Business School, a Master's degree in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
