Kyle Pallanik

Director, Architecture And Information Systems at Municipal Property Assessment Corporation

Kyle Pallanik has extensive work experience in various roles in the field of technology. Kyle started their career as a Computer Technician and IT Support Analyst at IBM Canada Ltd. In 1997, they worked as a Digital Painter at Nelvana. From 1999 to 2002, they served as an IT Services Technician at MusicMusicMusic Inc.

In 2002, Kyle joined MPAC and held several positions over the years. Kyle started as a Customer Contact Associate and later became a Support Desk Analyst. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Systems Developer/Designer. During this time, they made significant contributions to Application Architecture, including the development of a process for merging data from legacy systems.

In 2012, Kyle became a Senior Architecture Developer/Designer at MPAC and played a key role in building the Bedrock SOA Framework. Kyle also worked on the Valuation as a Service (VaaS) project, where they developed a data preparation process framework using Python.

In 2014, they became the Manager of Application Architecture, leading a talented team on innovative projects that transformed the enterprise architecture. Kyle co-invented the VaaS project and created the framework and prototype for scripts used in data preparation.

Since 2017, Kyle has been the Director of Architecture and Information Systems at MPAC, overseeing various strategic initiatives.

Kyle Pallanik attended Ryerson University from 2002 to 2004, studying Computer Science and Information Technology. Prior to that, they earned a degree in New Media from OCAD University from 1991 to 1995, with a focus on Computers, Audio, Video, Film, and Animation. In 1990 to 1991, they attended Centennial College, where they obtained a degree in Visual Arts, specializing in Drawing, Painting, and Photography. In addition to their formal education, Kyle Pallanik has obtained several certifications, including Comptia A+, IBM FileNet Developer 4.5, Microsoft Certified Professional, and Oracle Certified Professional in Java SE5 Programming.
