Brian Anthony

Brian Anthony has extensive work experience in the technology and data management field. Brian is currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board since August 2023. Previously, from November 2020 to August 2023, they held the position of Chief Data Officer at the same organization. Prior to that, from July 2019 to November 2020, they worked as the Director of Data Strategy and Management.

Before joining the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, Brian worked at T. Rowe Price from October 2014 to June 2019. There, they held the role of Data Architecture and Warehouse Development Manager, Vice President - Enterprise Data Solutions. In this position, they were responsible for architecting and implementing efficient data movement design patterns and led the implementation of the Investment Data Warehouse.

Brian also worked at Bank of America in two different periods. From October 2007 to September 2014, they worked as a Sr. Technology Manager, leading teams across various technical and business disciplines. Brian mentored technical resources and focused teams on delivering strategic technical solutions aligned with business objectives. From March 2003 to October 2007, they served as a Technical Team Lead, where they developed a pricing predictive analytics data mart solution.

In addition, Brian worked as a Data Architect (Consultant) at Bank of America from 2001 to 2003, where they designed and developed an Oracle/Microstrategy solution for a Consumer Mortgage Business Intelligence platform. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Mecklenburg County from 1998 to 2001, and as a Consultant at PowerCerv from 1995 to 1998.

Brian Anthony completed their education history with the following degrees: they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2016 to 2018, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University from 2008 to 2010, and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Science from Central Piedmont Community College from 1990 to 1992.
