Melanie Ducharme

Melanie Ducharme has extensive experience in municipal governance and legal administration, currently serving as the Municipal Clerk/Planner for the Municipality of West Nipissing since June 2008. In this role, Melanie manages the Clerk’s Department, overseeing the preparation of Council Agendas, Resolutions, By-laws, and Minutes, while also handling municipal cemeteries and managing construction and maintenance of over 300 municipal drains. Prior to this position, Melanie worked as a Senior Law Clerk/Office Administrator at D'Agostino & Associates, handling commercial real estate and land use development files, and as an Instructor for the Real Estate Law Clerk Program at CTS Canadian Career College. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Senior Law Clerk for Robert J. Martyn, Solicitor, focusing on commercial and residential real estate transactions. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History/Political Science from King's University College.
