Stephan Poulin's work experience includes working as the Director of Economic Development and Community Services at the Municipality of West Nipissing starting from December 2010. Prior to that, they worked at the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines as a Trade and Investment Consultant from 1998 to December 2010, where they held various positions and specialized in sectors such as the knowledge-based economy, mining equipment and supply services, bioeconomy, and advanced manufacturing. Before that, they worked as a Small Business Advisor at the City of North Bay from 1996 to 1998.
Stephan Poulin obtained a BCom degree from McGill University from 1990 to 1994. Later, they pursued a Certificate in Economic Development at the University of Waterloo, completing it in the year 2000. More recently, they attained a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business at York University, which they completed in 2017.
