Julien Vanier has held various positions in the software engineering field since 2004. Julien began their career at Oracle as a Software Developer in 2004, then moved to Robert Bosch LLC as a Technical Expert in System Engineering in 2005. In 2012, they became the Owner and Developer of the Send To Car Smartphone App. In 2013, they became the CTO and Co-Founder of 1000tools. In 2014, they became the CTO and Co-Founder of MuniRent. Finally, in 2016, they became the Director of Software Engineering at Particle, where they also held the roles of Lead Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Theirroles have included developing embedded engine control software, improving development practices, and managing project scope for the interfaces team.
Julien Vanier received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from McGill University between 2001 and 2005. Julien then attended the University of Michigan, though it is unclear if they completed any degree there. Julien also holds a Professional Engineer certification from the Michigan State Board of Professional Engineers.
