Adam Sheehan

Strength & conditioning Coach at Munster Rugby

Adam Sheehan has a diverse work experience in the sports and fitness industry. Adam started their career as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for Munster Rugby in July 2013. Shortly after that, they joined the Irish Rugby Football Union as the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Irish club 18's in September 2013, a role they held until May 2015. Adam also served as the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for U19's Sevens in April 2014. Prior to their time at the Irish Rugby Football Union, Adam worked as a Graduate Assistant at Edinburgh Rugby from October 2012 to June 2013. Adam also gained experience as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Scottish Rugby Union from October 2011 to June 2013. Additionally, Adam worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern for the RBS 6 Nations in February and March 2013. Before embarking on their career in rugby, Adam gained experience as a Gym Instructor & Personal Trainer at Maldron Hotels & Partners from September 2008 to August 2011.

Adam Sheehan obtained their education from various institutions. Adam attended An Gael Colaiste Mhuire AG from 2001 to 2006 and received a Leaving Certificate. From 2006 to 2010, they studied at Munster Technological University and obtained a BBus in Recreation and Leisure & Business Management and Marketing. In 2010, they enrolled at University College Cork for Bsc Sport Studies, completing their degree in 2011. Lastly, in 2011-2012, Adam pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Strength and Conditioning at The University of Edinburgh.
