Ken Byrnes has worked as an Athletic Development Coach for Munster Rugby since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Strength And Conditioning Coach at the University of Limerick from September 2022 to February 2023. Ken also worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern for Football at St. John Bosco High School from January 2022 to June 2022, and as a Strength & Conditioning Intern for Basketball at Limerick Institute of Technology from March 2021 to September 2021.

Ken Byrnes attended the Technological University of the Shannon from 2019 to 2023, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Strength and Conditioning.
