Pete Young

Pete Young is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in leadership and innovation. Currently serving as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Muon Space since March 2024, Pete has a proven track record of consulting for 614 Engineering since June 2002, focusing on creating engineering solutions from conceptual design to production analysis. Prior roles include Engineering Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Waymo, where Pete managed the Radar Infrastructure and Test team and played a key role in developing all-weather radar modules. Previous experience includes positions at Google, GREENVOLTS, and SolFocus, with accomplishments in designing solar technology and overseeing engineering teams. Pete began his career in mechanical design at Clark Automation Manufacturing and Function Engineering, leading diverse projects in automation and consumer products. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.
