Geoff Brighty

Geoff Brighty serves as the Head of Sustainability at Mura Technology since December 2019, where responsibilities include leading environmental management programs and advancing sustainability within the chemical recycling sector. With extensive experience, Geoff has held significant roles such as Managing Director at Environmental Sustainability Associates Ltd. since May 2014, overseeing a consultancy focused on sustainability solutions, and was a Non-Executive Director at ReNew ELP, contributing to groundbreaking chemical recycling initiatives. Previous positions include Technical Director at Plastic Oceans Foundation UK, Deputy Director of Sustainable Places at the Environment Agency, and various roles at the National Rivers Authority and Anglian Water Authority. Geoff holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, a Ph.D. in Fish Physiology from Nottingham Trent University, and a BSc in Marine Biology/Zoology from Bangor University.
