Ken Knight has a diverse range of work experience in various research, academic, and community engagement roles. Ken has held positions such as Head of Research Impact & Consumer Involvement at Murdoch Children's Research Institute, where they led award-winning programs to facilitate consumer partnerships and optimize research impact. Ken has also served as Chair of the Melbourne Children's LGBTIQA+ Collective and as an Investigator for the Trans20 Longitudinal Study. Additionally, Ken has worked as a Partner at the Stronger Futures Centre of Research Excellence and as a Research Impact & Engagement Manager. Ken has been involved in various committees and networks, including co-chairing the Research Impact Committee at the Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes. Ken has also held positions at The Royal Children's Hospital, University of Melbourne, and the Australian Institute of Family Studies. Ken has authored publications and served as an advisory board member for EmeraldPublishing. Ken's work experience also includes roles in the arts field at Experimenta Media Arts and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.

Ken Knight received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA(Hons)) degree from the University of Melbourne. Ken also completed a Certificate in Family Engagement in Research from McMaster University and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (GDipPsych) from Deakin University. In 2023, they obtained an Executive Fellowship from The University of Sydney Business School.
