Mauricio Castro

Mauricio Castro is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in the biomedical field. Currently serving as a Senior Research Officer at Murdoch Children's Research Institute since July 2022, Mauricio has previously held the position of Associate Researcher at Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute from June 2016 to June 2022. Prior to that, Mauricio worked as a Senior Scientist at Genea Biocells from January 2014 to May 2016. The academic journey includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School from March 2009 to September 2011 and another Postdoctoral Fellowship at UFRJ from October 2011 to December 2013. Mauricio holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biomedicine from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, with educational foundations established at Instituto Nossa Senhora da Gloria, CASTELO.
