Melissa Wake

Melissa Wake is a prominent medical professional with extensive experience in paediatrics and research. Currently serving as the Scientific Director of GenV and holding several leadership roles at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute since 2000, Melissa also contributes as a Professorial Fellow in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne since 2009. Previously, Melissa worked as a Consultant Paediatrician at The Royal Children's Hospital from 1994 to 2017. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne, a Diploma of Child Health from the University of Glasgow, a Diploma of Obstetrics from the University of Auckland, and an MB ChB with Distinction in Paediatrics from the University of Otago.
