Sara Howden

Head, Ipsc Gene Editing Facility at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute

Sara Howden has a strong background in research, with experience in leading teams and managing facilities. Sara started their career as a PhD candidate at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in 2003 and completed their studies in 2008. Sara then worked as a Postdoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2008 to 2011. Sara then joined the Morgridge Institute for Research in 2011 as an Assistant Scientist until 2014. Since 2016, they have been working at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, first as a Team Leader and currently as the Head of the iPSC Gene Editing Facility. Sara'sexpertise lies in stem cell research and gene editing.

Sara Howden completed their Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Molecular Genetics from the University of Melbourne in 2004. Sara then pursued a PhD in Gene/Genetic Therapy at the same institution, completing their studies in 2008.
