Software Lead at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute

Tommy L. began their work experience in 2003 as a Software Developer at Redcat. Tommy then worked as a Student Developer at the National Stroke Research Institute from 2005 to 2005. In 2006, Tommy joined Accenture, first as a Test Analyst and then as a Software Developer. In 2013, they joined Promedicus Limited as a Software Developer before moving to Red Energy as a Lead Software Developer. During their time at Red Energy, Tommy worked on projects such as the development of an in-house pricing tool and the conversion of an existing application. In 2020, they joined the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute as a Software Lead.

Tommy L. completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Engineering from RMIT University, from 2001 to 2005. Tommy later pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology with a focus on Enterprise Architecture, Data Warehousing, Declarative Programming, and Bioinformatics at the University of Melbourne, from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Algorithmic Toolbox, Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine Specialization, Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python, Introduction to Data Science in Python, and Basic Statistics, all from Coursera. Tommy also holds certifications as a Sun Certified Java Associate and Sun Certified Java Programmer, obtained in 2008 from Sun Microsystems.
