Ankan Das

Ankan Das began their work experience in 2020 at Aptivaa as a Data Scientist. In this role, they developed an OCR model that outperformed Tesseract OCR in reading Arabic text and numbers. Ankan achieved an accuracy of 95% by training the Tesseract model from scratch, tuning hyper-parameters, and fine-tuning. Ankan also utilized Tesseract-HOCR and Kraken for automating data creation from text to tabular format. Following their time at Aptivaa, Ankan joined mewt in 2021 as a Software Developer. Ankan worked there until 2022, and then joined Murf AI as a Software Developer in the same year.

Ankan Das completed their education with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Ankan attended the institution from 2017 to 2021. Before that, from 2005 to 2017, they attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, although the exact degree and field of study are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Ankan Das obtained several additional certifications. In May 2020, they completed the "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" certification program at Coursera. Ankan also completed the "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" certification program in the same month and year. In April 2020, they completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" certification program, also at Coursera.
