Dr. Trey Duke

Dr. Trey Duke serves as the Director of Schools for Murfreesboro City Schools since December 2018 and previously held the position of Principal at Salem Elementary School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which opened in August 2019. Prior to this role, Dr. Duke was the Coordinator for Federal Programs and RTI at Rutherford County Schools from July 2017 to December 2018, and served as the Coordinator of RTI and Instructional Technology for the Rutherford County Board of Education from August 2013 to June 2017. As Principal of Smyrna Elementary School from August 2011 to August 2013, Dr. Duke successfully led a Title I school with significant English Language Learner and low-income student populations, resulting in the school earning the “Tennessee Reward School” distinction for exceptional student progress. Dr. Duke earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Middle Tennessee State University between 2017 and May 2020.
