Martin Shaw

Martin Shaw is an experienced European Patent Attorney and UK Chartered Patent Attorney at Murgitroyd since June 2021, where responsibilities include understanding inventions, drafting legal documents, and representing clients before patent examiners. Prior to this role, Martin worked as a Trainee Patent Attorney at HGF Limited from September 2016 to April 2021, focusing on the protection of intellectual property. Martin's academic background includes a PhD from the University of Strathclyde, where research centered on the optical and compositional characterization of novel solar absorbing semiconductor materials, specifically highly mismatched alloys of the group III-V-N type.
