Simon Eddowes

Simon Eddowes is a highly experienced Patent Attorney with a diverse background in intellectual property law, currently employed at Murgitroyd since December 2022. Previously, Simon served as Senior UK and European Patent Attorney at TLIP Ltd from October 2020 to December 2022, and as an IP Attorney at Hexcel Corporation from January 2016 to September 2020, focusing on patent procurement and prosecution at the UKIPO and EPO. Earlier career highlights include a role as Of Counsel at Mathys & Squire LLP, specializing in pharmaceutical patent law, and a partnership at W. P. Thompson & Co., where a broad range of patent applications were handled. Simon also held positions at Urquhart-Dykes & Lord LLP, Hepworth Lawrence Bryer & Bizley, and began a career in patents at Reckitt & Colman after working as a microbiologist and formulation chemist. Academic qualifications include a BSc with honors in Biological Sciences from The University of Edinburgh.
