Phil Thornton

Phil Thornton is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and data security. Currently serving as Principal Director of Data Security and Engineering at Murj since June 2016, Phil has played a pivotal role in creating a SAAS offering aimed at improving the workflow of cardiac device data clinics while ensuring HIPAA compliance through strategic architectural solutions. Prior to Murj, Phil held various senior roles at Neuropace from February 2007 to June 2016, where responsibilities included developing secure web applications for FDA-approved medical devices and managing full technology stacks. Phil's earlier career includes significant contributions at Oracle from July 1996 to November 2006, where projects involved developing enterprise security tools and supporting product migrations. Phil holds a B Sc (Hons) in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast.
