Sahba Safafar has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Data Science Team Lead, Senior Data Engineer, Production Engineer, and Artificial Lift Engineer at Murphy Oil Corporation since April 2017. Prior to this, Sahba worked at Weatherford from March 2014 to April 2017 as an Artificial Lift Optimization Analyst, focusing on improving artificial lift systems for various clients through advanced analytical tools. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Environmental Engineer at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection from August 2009 to February 2014, diagnosing mechanical issues in wastewater treatment plants, and as an Engineer Intern at Bina Consulting Engineers from May 2007 to November 2008, contributing to the design of petroleum holding tanks. Sahba is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Islamic Azad University, where studies began in 2004.
