Mariah Cooks

Mariah Cooks, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney since January 2023, with prior experience as a Deputy District Attorney at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office from October 2020 to March 2023. Cooks has also served as a Provisional Deputy District Attorney and worked as a Paralegal at The Law Office of Kelly Gamble. In addition, Cooks has held advocacy roles at Bay Area Women Against Rape and completed various clerkships at both the Alameda and San Francisco District Attorney's Offices, as well as a judicial externship with the Superior Court of California. Cooks earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Golden Gate University, School of Law, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Washington State University. Cooks holds a keen interest in dependency, social justice, and sports/entertainment law.
