Chad Johnston

Chad Johnston is the Executive VP of Operations at Murray Company. Chad has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, working their way up from Purchasing Manager to Director of OSP Engineering & Design. In their current role, they oversee all operations for the company and is responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Prior to joining Murray Company, Chad spent four years at Charter Communications where they were responsible for splicing all copper, fiber and coax facilities for the service area. Chad also worked to locate, isolate and repair trouble areas in the outside plant facilities. Before that, they spent two years at Google as a voice, video and data installer. Chad also repaired distribution and service lines and educated customers on available products.

Chad began their career in the telecommunications industry in 1999 as a Purchasing Manager at Fidelity Communications. In this role, they were responsible for installing, maintaining and removing all company facilities in the outside plant. Chad also operated machinery to install and remove facilities. Prior to that, they served in the US Army as an Intelligence Analyst for four years.

Chad Johnston graduated from Sullivan High School and went on to study at American InterContinental University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.

Chad Johnston reports to Jim DeFlavio, President & CEO. They work with Don Odom - Executive VP, Business Development, Greg Huff - VP, Advanced Technologies, and Steve Klaus - VP, Industrial Group.
