In 2005, they began working at Lamb Hanson Lamb Appraisal Associates as a Marketing Coordinator/Associate Real Estate Appraiser. In 2007, they joined Kidder Mathews as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser/Portfolio Administrator. In 2013, they became the Social Media/Public Relations Coordinator at Brock's Academy. In 2021, they started at Park Place Properties as a Managing Broker, working with both buyers and sellers to meet their unique needs and goals. Finally, in 2022, they began their current role as Marketing Director at Murray Franklyn Companies.

Jansy Peternell attended Washington State University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a B.A in Communications with an Emphasis in Advertising. Prior to that, they attended Newport High School and Forest Ridge.
