Councilwoman Dr. Tenisha Mack currently serves as a Councilwoman for the City of Garfield Heights since November 2023. In addition to this role, Dr. Mack has been a Mental Health Specialist at Murtis Taylor Human Services System since August 2021 and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Bryant & Stratton College since January 2020. Previous experience includes working as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Compass Recovery Center from August 2019 to November 2020. Dr. Mack holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Walden University, a Master's in Criminal Justice from the American Public University System, and double Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Criminology from Cleveland State University.

Murtis Taylor Human Services System is a county-wide United Way charitable organization that provides Community Mental Health, Alcohol and other addiction services, Youth, Family, and Senior services. It serves more than 11,000 children and adults annually. Youth and Family Services are provided in the Garden Valley, East Cleveland and Mt. Pleasant communities. Senior Services are provided in the Mt. Pleasant community. These include a broad range of culturally appropriate and diverse community services and programs. Community Mental Health services, which are clinical in nature, are provided countywide. These include a culturally appropriate and comprehensive array of outpatient and residential treatment. Murtis Taylor Human Services System is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a Three (3)-Star Rated Step Up to Quality childcare center, the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and nationally accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
